About Stockland Village Hall
Also known as the Victory Hall - a community-run venue at the heart of village life since 1950
OUR STORY
Seven decades of village life
1950
The hall officially opens, first housed in a temporary wooden building. It is named the Victory Hall in commemoration of victory in the second world war.
2015
A refurbishment brings a new foyer and an acoustic ceiling, improving the entrance and the sound in the main hall.Â
2022
A major "Year of Change" refurbishment delivers a new, better equipped bar, improved secure storage, and converts the old committe room into a comfortable multifunctional lounge. Outdoors, the pathway is renewed and a new seating area with picnic benches overlooking the field.Â
Today
The hall hosts everything from weddings and parties to fitness classes, club meetings and the villages own spring bank holiday fair; run entirely by a volunteer committee.
